Upon arrival at the lake, your guide will provide insider tips and highlight must-see activities to enhance your visit. Enjoy two hours of leisure time, whether you prefer exploring with newfound friends or venturing out on your own. For the adventurers, choose to ice skate, cross country ski, snowshoe, walk the lakeside or climb to a stunning lookout (with included ice cleats), enjoy a horse sleigh ride or even go dogsledding. For those looking to unwind and bask in the incredible view, you can sit & relax, indulge yourself at the Fairmont Chateau or even enjoy a beverage at the outdoor Ice Bar.

Following on from our Lake Louise visit, we'll travel along the Bow Valley Parkway (conditions permitting). This is a lovely, scenic drive and provides some fantastic views and an opportunity to try and spot some wildlife. Your expert guide might even handpick some additional bonus stops for added surprises along the way. Our journey along the Bow Valley Parkway will take us to the doorstep of Banff's neighbour, Kootenay National Park. We'll cross over into Kootenay (and also British Columbia) to visit Marble Canyon - one of our favourite sights in the area and a very underrated winter destination. We'll spend some time here traversing over the canyon and find a worthy reward up at the top.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Weather in the mountains is often unpredictable and forecasts can be misleading. During winter, we can experience almost every type of weather imaginable. From mild conditions to freezing cold, we see it all. Not to mention, it can be cloudy, foggy & snowy on our winter trips. With that being said, it’s common for the weather to change quickly, so if it’s cloudy & snowy, cross your fingers and in no time it might just be bright and sunny (and even still snowing) again.

We do our very best to avoid the large crowds to give you a more relaxed and intimate experience, but it’s not always that simple. Banff National Park attracts more than 4 million visitors per year, and Lake Louise is a hotspot year-round. We head to Marble Canyon just across in Kootenay National Park, a typically quiet and very underrated sight to behold.
